Monday Made It - Freebie and Giveaway

Normally I get quite bored and restless in the summer, but starting a blog and learning about Bloglovin, Linking, etc., has certainly kept me busy.  This is my 3rd link, and 1st with Tara's weekly Monday Made It.

First of all, let me explain that my husband is the cook (more like chef) in our house.  He enjoys cooking (not me) and "gets it"!  I need a recipe, and even then, it doesn't usually taste good.  My kids even groan when they see me cooking.  But I'm off in the summer, so I sometimes make more attempts.  This past week I made a pork tenderloin medallion dish, salmon and yellow fin tuna, and homemade pizzas.  All were good.  I totally did not intend to make the pizzas, but my husband got called back into work, and I had no choice.  We have a great little Breville pizza maker that was a gift last year, and I highly recommend it for anyone who has tried and tried to make pizza at home without much success.  Also, the trick is in making your own dough (which he already had made before getting called into work, otherwise I would have just ordered out!).  So I rolled the dough, added the toppings, and successfully put in and took out of the pizza maker.  Three pizzas, all good, and one was even round.  That's something my husband never even does.  So here's a pic of our pizza oven, and of my round pizza.  Looks a little burned in the pic, but it wasn't!

I'm really excited about how my next project turned out.  On my "to-do" list was creating a genre display for my class.  I just couldn't figure out what it should look like.  So I'm very grateful that my colleague came up with the great idea of a bookshelf.  It was a lot of fun to make, and I've added it to both my TpT store and Teacher's Notebook stores.  It is a FREEBIE in both stores, hope you find it useful.

My last item to share is a Giveaway I created in my Teacher's Notebook store.  I just opened this store, and already seem to be doing much better than my TpT store, which surprises me.  Anyways, I think they are more creative in product/store promotion, and I'm having fun learning.  So yesterday I added a Giveaway.  It is my task card bundle, 8 sets designed specifically for 4th grade.  I'm giving away 3 of these, and it ends Friday.  I thought I'd try adding a bonus.  If I can get 20 followers by Friday, I'll make one of my better selling products free for the weekend.  I was shocked that I went from 2 followers to 11 in less than 24 hours!  Here is the link if you want to enter the giveaway.

Lastly, I'm afraid I might be a "no reply blogger"!  I've followed the steps on several sites, and my settings all seem to be okay, but a friend was unable to reply in an email.  Also, I've been commenting on several blogs on Bloglovin, but I don't seem to have links to my blog/email in my comments like others do.  Any advice here would be helpful.

  1. If you follow this link http://bloggeruniversity.blogspot.com/2007/01/post-link-in-comments.html it should help you put your link to your blog in your comments. I keep the address on a sticky note on my desktop so I don't have to type it each time I comment on a blog. Hope that helps!
